I recently purchased an Acer revo pc for $199. I threw a $15 usb Ethernet
port on it and voila, a darn nice Linux firewall on the cheap. I had some
issues getting Linux on there. If memory serves, I ended up putting F12
32-bit live on a usb drive, booted, and installed from the live OS. I would
think that f13 would be a better choice since they now have a command line
interface for network manager.

However, I agree with the prior suggestion of a Linksys or some other router
if all you need is to apply ACLs to a routing device.
