I will be hosting a Linux installfest this Saturday evening at 7:00pm
at the new Triangle Hackerspace, Splat*Space in Durham.

Bring your PC, laptop, or 4GB flash drive, or USB harddisk with at least
13 GB on it.

New to Linux? Now's your chance to step into it. Experienced? Learn
some advanced administration techniques to tune, customize and optimize
your installation.

We will be building full-boot and dual-boot systems, Virtual-Box virtual
images, and bootable thumbdrives, using the latest in SuSE, Fedora, Ubuntu,
Mint Linux (a variant of Ubuntu) and PC Linux. I will have burned CD's
handy and a machine or two to copy images from. I will also be providing
some of my personal administrators scripts and shortcuts, and showing you
how to customize your installation.

Most of the installs will be focusing on using lighter resources for older
and slower machines, and to make virtual images faster.

Experienced persons welcome to help mentor others, and show off you own
special techniques and tools.

Splat*Space is located in the basement of the Snow Building,
331 W. Main St., Durham. Directions:
