I checked on tuxmobile.org, and found a Viao VGN-FS660 listed, which appears to use the same network card.

Checking that, we find: http://ipw2200.sourceforge.net/ which says that that driver is part of the kernel.


As far as automatic discovery, I would guess that it is old enough that perhaps the automatic systems aren't looking any more.  ????

It is possible that automatically probing for that card can cause conflicts with other device drivers, but I don't know.
