[TriLUG] "burning in" a new machine

For a HDD I just use smart-mon-tools (smartctl) by running a short and long
test. This will also log any errors.

For CPU/Heat testing I run this one-liner " perl -e 'while(1){$i++;}' " for
every core.

To test memory I run memtest86.

Hope this helps!
