I use Rocks Clusters (www.rocksclusters.org) to provision and manage
our Intel based clusters at work. What sort of calculations does your
application do? We use an optimized version of MPICH for single
compute jobs that require a lot of CPU & memory. I use CONDOR (
www.cs.wisc.edu/condor/ ) as a job scheduler to spread a lot of
discrete compute jobs across a bunch of nodes.
