Check out PF Sense. It is based on m0n0wall, supports bonding, which mono doesn't very well, is based on BSD, has great VPN support, etc. Good stuff.

It's very easy to configure being all web based. I'm going to upgrade one of my beach mono boxes to PF sense this winter to give it a try.
