[TriLUG] December TriLUG Social / Show and Tell

By popular demand, we're doing a repeat of the December Social format we 
did in 2010. Both SplatSpace and TriLUG are excited about it. Last year, 
we had some great demos and lots of enthusiastic socializing.

So, here's the current plan: On Thursday, December 8, 2011, we convene 
at http://splatspace.org/ around 7pm. Anyone who wants to demo something 
related to Linux, FOSS, or FLOSS can let us know in advance and we'll 
provide a table where you can setup your demo. During the meeting, folks 
mill about and check out the demos. We'll encourage each presenter to 
take a ~20 minute break, to go around and see the other demos.

The reason I'm sending this now is to encourage you to plan early about 
what you'll demo. The more the merrier! Feel free to discuss your demo 
on the mailing list and even to collaborate with others on making it a 
success. If you're timid about discussing your plans openly, feel free 
to email me or steering at trilug.org and we'll help you get started. The 
more we know about the demos that will be present, the better we can plan.

Also, we're currently thinking that we'll have a "sides, desserts, and 
drinks" potluck. This happened informally last year and worked out 
great. We'll place an order for pizza. Members are encouraged to bring 
side dishes, desserts, and drinks to share with each other. Feel free to 
also discuss this on the list and/or experiment with brilliant 
concoctions at home.
