Working for Web Performance, you will be joining a small, fast paced company specializing in web
performance testing tools and testing services. As a Web Performance Engineer, your primary
responsibility is helping our customers meet the performance goals for their websites.
Job duties will include:
* Consulting with clients to measure and improve the performance of web-based applications
* Performing independent research on the performance of complex open-source web software systems and
publishing the results
* Writing about website performance and load testing for articles, research papers, case studies and
our blog
Job Requirements:
* Understanding of factors affecting the performance of web-based applications
* Understanding of high performance configurations of operating systems and application servers
* Ability to communicate clearly and effectively (written and verbal)
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, startup environment
Additional Desirable Skills:
* Experience configuring web servers, load balancers, firewalls, routers, etc.
* Experience developing non-trivial web-applications (esp Java and .NET)
When you have proven your capabilities, this position can evolve to include:
* Internal IT system development
* Software development for the Load Tester product
* Project management
