[TriLUG] problems with multiple interfaces on a RHEL5.5 x64 machine

Eth1 is a 10Gbe interface right?  With only eth1 active, can eth1 ping your gateway successfully?  if not is it possible the drivers for the 10Gbe are not loading correctly and the interface is not completely up?  Your routes look fine, so that leads me to believe problems with the 10Gbe drivers or switch port problems.  Do you see anything in your switches?  Also what about the question of how you are pinging your external IP's, by name or number?
