[TriLUG] External RAID Enclosure Recommendation?

Dear All,

Looking for some recommendations for an "external RAID enclusure"
for LINUX and Mac. 5-6 bay prefered, must have Firewire 800 interface.
Thinking of taking 2TB - 3TB disk drives.  Any pointers or comments also
welcome. It is for an archiving/backup project under limited budget.
