[TriLUG] traceroute works, ping and tcp services don't get through

on looking further I find there are ICMP traceroutes 
(tracert in Windows) and TCP traceroutes. Just to add 
confusion, the reply packets from traceroute are ICMP.

No wonder I was confused. Thanks for straightening me out.
