Depending on how ancient it is, you should be able to get Gentoo to build
on it :-)
(I have Gentoo running on a 1GHZ pentium-something class machine with 1 GB
RAM at work... and it runs faster (despite my lack of architecture
tweaking) than the year-old Windows PC sitting next to it.
