Preferred Qualifications:   
Experience supporting a high volume (1 million+ hits per day) web
infrastructure and/or J2EE infrastructure is preferred. Previous
experience with infrastructure support for Oracle Business Intelligence
11g is desired. Demonstrated experience with supporting a WordPress
(multisite) complex is also preferred. Our group supports several J2EE
containers: Glassfish (strongly preferred), Tomcat, WebLogic and JBoss.
Relevant experience with JVM tuning on J2EE stacks is desired.
Experience with Apache or nginx web servers is preferred. Demonstrated
support experience for Learning Management Systems such as Sakai or
Blackboard would be beneficial. Exposure to the following technologies
is also desired: F5 load balancers, Splunk, service monitoring tools,
applications performance monitoring tools, configuration management
tools such as Puppet and with the Solaris/RedHat Linux operating
systems. Working knowledge of Java development tools, IDE's and other
J2EE technologies/frameworks is a plus. This position also takes part of
the Middleware on-call rotation which provides 24/7 support of our
infrastructure.
