It's more of a question of lost productivity when people troubleshoot why some table is wonky, or some formatting problem exists in the text.

Can't you push back on your workplace culture any, to adopt less locked-in
document standards?  Surely, *everything* isn't some mission critical
exotic page layout technical diagram format.
