Subject: New User Group Forming!! - RTP AIX Power User Group


We are scheduling an inaugural meeting for a new technical user group, the RTP AIX Power User Group.    This group will provide a forum for technical discussions and presentations related to AIX and Power hardware.  The community will also help AIX and Power professionals throughout the area network with their peers.  The audience will be AIX systems administrators, technical managers, software engineers, database administrators, and end users.  The targeted coverage area is Research Triangle Park, Durham, Raleigh, Chapel Hill, Greensboro.

This first meeting will be November 8th at the IBM RTP site.  We will spend part of the initial meeting querying the audience on preferred meeting frequency, time of day, meeting location, and future presentation/discussion topics.  IBM will provide a speaker for this meeting; we are hoping the technical user community will be active participants in discussions and future presentations.
