That's honestly the best thing in the world for me. My home is *all*
Linux and though I'm happy to set up the wine version for myself, or
even for my S.O. I really like it when she can do *her*own*
administration. She doesn't do this sort of thing for a living, so
the simpler the better.
She's discovered more features in MythTV than I would ever find in my
lifetime because she is an end user. My workarounds always include
downloading and recompiling where hers are always "let's see what
happens when i press this button".
It's just a different way of approaching Linux, and I've become
facinated rather than frustrated with the differences. Linux is prime
time.
