I have been looking for a while for an Open Source ( possibly Drupal )
CRM that might have some different ( unusual ) requirements. ( or not )
I have looked at a few so far, things like XRMS, eGroupWare, the RedHen
project and Erpal. So far, the ones that I have looked at appear to be
either old and unmaintained, or a little too "close to the edge," and
"not quite ready for prime time." Also, I'm not sure how well they
might fit the needs of this project.
I have a general idea of how other types of companies might use a CRM,
and certainly, some of the packages that I have looked at seem to have
those capabilities, but I'm not sure how well they might fit my needs.
The requirements that I consider unusual involve the use for this
system. I may not even be looking for a CRM, although that seeems to
fit closest to what I need.
It is a system for an "IT recruiting" organization, where almost every
"person" record ( consultant, prospect, contact, whatever ) will have at
least one document closely associated with it, the resume.
The requirements also include the need for management overview and
monitoring of "sales peoples" activity and plans, etc. They also
include the need to search through the documents, or at least
meta-information about those documents, to find the matching person
records.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Brian
