"Red Hat Linux 7.3 Personal for individual users has a MSRP of $59.95,
which includes 30 days of Red Hat Network Basic Service and Web-based
support."
I said it before and I'll say it again... bring back the $30 box set and
many many community members will come back and start buying Red Hat
Linux again instead of simply downloading the ISO's. I did this with
many of the stable releases before the price hike.
For the Red Hat lurkers on this list, please know that this pricing
strategy makes it hard for hobbyists and enthusiasts to continue
supporting your products. I'm very happy with the frequent OS releases
and at a $30 price point I'd be more than willing to purchase a box set
once it has been determined that the release is stable by the user
community (or by my own tinkering with the download version). These
days the only "official" copies of Red Hat Linux I have around are the
ones that ship with machines that have been preloaded.
