a friend of mine who works at ibm send me this nugget: "Windows is not allowed as base operating system for IBM's privileged users. *Privileged users are typically administrators of systems as described here. If you are a privileged user still on Windows you must move to the Linux solution (such as Red Hat Open Client), no later than December 31, 2013."
