turning on the correct drive failure light and handling hot swap. Even for
a home system, taking out the wrong drive is never fun.

How do you handle monitoring/notifications of drive conditions? I know that
Solaris has some type of general system failure management system, but
since I am looking to use ZFS on Linux, I am wondering how I can get emails
for when drive errors are detected in the most reliable way possible.
