Subject: Aerotek - Immediate Cisco VM/Test Opportunity

Please keep in mind that the position description below is written for a
test engineer, so you could expect that the responsibilities of someone
with a Systems Administration background in this group would be a bit
different and more VM centric than what is found below. Hopefully this will
give you an idea of the responsibilities of the team though. The two major
areas of importance to this team is KVM virtualization experience and a
background with networking, but let me know if you have any questions
regarding the skill set.

*Position Overview*

This is a test position centered on state-of-the-art networking security
devices in a virtual environment. This will be a true test engineering
position including evaluating requirements, developing test plans
(reviewing test plans from other groups to make sure that they match the
requirements), developing test cases, configuring test beds for both
networking and virtualization tools, executing tests, automating tests
using tcl and python and documenting results. This project would last at
least until the end of July and has a strong possibility of extension or
conversion for contractors who do a great job.

*Requirements:*

1) Virtualization- any experience with deploying/managing KVM, VMware
or other virtual machines

2) Automation- any experience with TCL or python is preferred but
they’re open to other scripting languages

3) Network Test experience- true test engineer that analyzes
requirements, develops test plans, and executes the testing of L2/L3
networking devices (TCP/IP protocols)

Additional Information: An average work week is around 50 hours per week.
Candidates will be salaried and will be compensated for all Cisco holidays
(with the exception of the Cisco furlough- six unpaid days between
Christmas and New Years Day) and 10 paid vacation days that will be accrued
at one day per every 200 hours worked.

Best,

Megan
