John, why do you use DD-WRT over OpenWRT? Have you tried both and liked
DD-WRT better or have you not gotten a chance to try one over the other?

Personally, I prefer OpenWRT for several reasons (software seems more
modular and more up to date; after figuring it out, the centralized
configuration system is nice; I don't seem to have as much problem with
different repositories, etc.)

One thing I will say for DD-WRT is that Buffalo ships at least some of
their excellent routers with it pre-installed. A switch to OpenWRT from
there is as easy as just using the web GUI to update it.

Currently I am waiting on a new TP-Link TL-WDR4300 to get dual band set up.
Otherwise, I've been very happy with my Buffalo + OpenWRT setup for the
past year and a half.
