[TriLUG] DLINK NAS Issue

Distro: Debian 7, 64 bit
I can see my Dlink NAS in File Manager and can open files from LibreOffice, etc. However, when I  try to say a file from the Internet the Dlink does not show up. So, the only way I can download files is to first save them to my local drive then move them to my Dlink. Am I missing something?
