[TriLUG] An update on my crazy laptop shopping

So is that dual boot or did you wipe the ChromeOS?

I bought Chromebooks for my 2 kids after a lousy ipad experience.
Chromebooks have worked out awesome. They are light, durable, fast, and
they just freakin work.

Our Mac hijacked my entire day yesterday for maintenance and it still seems
to run like crap. We have the Adobe suite on it for graphic design work so
we are currently vendor locked to it. I started looking into Chromebooks
and Pixels yesterday and found that the Chrome app environment is getting
richer all the time. It appears to be possible now to do cloud based
graphic design work. If so, it will be nice to escape the maintenance
drawbacks of Mac and Microsoft. It is also nice that I can do everything
from my Linux box too with a Chrome browser.
