Just out of curiosity how low do you really need latency wise? I ask
because short of changing swappiness and sometimes forcing cpu scaling I
haven't had to resort to a full real time kernel compile in a long time.
And i was using a fire pod recording interface with a stock kernel. Heck I
do real time soft synths on stage with a chrome book and the debian and kx
studio setup under a crouton chroot with no problems.
Point is in this day and age there is no need to compromise system
stability for the sake of audio anymore.
