Yeah, I'd say an Accord is a full size sedan these days. American cars (and
yes these are American cars) get larger in the later model years. The
Accord may have started out as a compact car, but it is now full size. It
will eventually grow too large and expensive to survive, and the Civic will
take its place. In turn, the Fit will grow larger, and replace the Civic,
and a new model will show up.

This can also be seen in the [Corolla, Camry, Avalon] to [Yaris, Corolla,
Camry, Avalon] transition.
