[TriLUG] Slightly OT: Audio Digitizing Hardware Question

Ken and all,

Two devices that I have used to record analog to digital. The more
expensive device, a Tascam DR-2d which has built in microphones, plus
line input as well. Result is a wav file which can be downloaded via
usb.

The earlier and less expensive device, line in to usb output was a
Behringer UCA202 Audio Interface. It was used only with line level and
voice only, no knowledge of headroom problems.

I now have the use of Behringer's X32 Digital audio mixer and my
experiences with it make me believe they are doing a lot to erase
their past reputation.
