using non /dev/sdX on bftrs is better, such as: /dev/disk/by-id or
dev/disk/by-XXXXX, since sdX can be shown-up not in order that make a bit
tricky during troubleshooting.
on my understanding:
workstation do not must need btrfs, since no mumbo-jumbo data is stored.
the good point on btrfs (raid0/1 alike) is snapshot without complicated
steps.
if needing storage server, ZFS on linux is stable. I have been running V
0.6.3 recently upgraded two weeks ago.
honestly btrfs would be "ZFS" alike when added features as ZFS alike:
raidz2, raidz3 and others...
the hassle on" ZFS on linux" is using DKMS, that need to be compiled
wheren-ever a new kernel is installed
I am running centos7 with btrfs now, Only /boot is running XFS (which is
default during installation).
