I would like to find out how this goes, if you don't mind following up. I have the TWBC Ubee modem as well. Now that I have gotten them to put it into bridged mode (and use my own gateway) I can usually ignore it. But as others have mentioned it resets back to factory settings every few months.
The way I find out is that it turns its radio back on. So far Time Warner insists that it's not defective. They are so quick to launch into denials that they give the impression that they hear this a lot.
