Net Neutrality timeline for 2014:
23 April 2014 - FCC issues Internet fast lane PROPOSAL
8 May 2014 - Coalition of 100 Tech companies complain about the
"fast lane" proposal
12 May 2014 - FCC Chairman reconsiders his position on fast lanes
30 May 2014 - Republicans oppose common carrier classification
11 June 2014 - FCC asks for public comments on Net Neutrality
18 July 2014 - 1 Million people comment on FCC website
15 Sept 2014 - 3.7 Million people have commented on FCC website
15 Sept 2014 - FCC holds a series of round table events, streamed live
11 Dec 2014 - IBM, Qualcomm, and Intel write to FCC in favor of Net Neutrality
26 Feb 2015 - FCC votes to reclassify Internet under Title II
This process has been a lot more transparent than the Trans-Pacific
Partnership (TPP) trade agreement, which has much bigger implications
than Net Neutrality.
