Having used a Raspberry Pi for a NAS, I would advise against it. It is too slow to handle it, and the reliability is not quite there, at least not on model B and B+. Something with a couple of SATA ports and 4 GB's of RAM works so much better, and can run ZFS, which is a big deal if you want data integrity. Just my $0.02. YMMV. Igor
