[TriLUG] mysqludf SYS UDF extensions for mySQL

Has anybody used the SYS UDF extensions (sys_exec and maybe sys_eval) for
mySQL from mysqludf.org?  I need to run a program from a trigger in mySQL
and these look like the easy way to go.  I just want to make sure easy is
not going to bite me on the backside at some later time.
