Brian,

I have a server sitting in the garage perfect for your use case. It is an 8 bay unit with a SuperMicro motherboard that I just pulled from our local DataCenter. It was a Linux NFS server that worked flawlessly for 5 years. We pulled it out to install a high density SSD storage cluster.

You are welcome to stop by and take a look at it. If you like it, take it home with you and run it for a few days (just add some SATA hard drives). If you are inclined, feel free to make a donation once you have it running for a while. No obligation to donate.

Let me know if you are interested...

Thanks,

-Ron
