[TriLUG] Modify LVM

Below is some data on my 750 GB disk, holding ubuntu 14.04, my /home
folder, etc.
The LVM GUI tool shows unmounted /dev/sda2 with 698.40 GB, which I tend
not to believe, in my ignorance.

Anyhow, what I want to do is to expand /dev/sda5 to use 239.5 GB
currently listed as free space in ubuntu-vg.

I've been reading:
http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/40702/how-to-manage-and-use-lvm-logical-volume-management-in-ubuntu/
and others, but am really fearful of working on the live disk with lots
of needed files in case I do it wrong with the various create and extend
commands.

I can supply output from sudo fdisk, etc upon request.

Anyone up for providing guidance?
