[TriLUG] telephone system advice

If they want to feel like they are using an old-style phone then maybe buy
some Panasonic base station phones. I have KX-TGE260 which comes with three
phones and one station. I have it on a Time-Warner line but it also has
Bluetooth, so could sit atop a cell line I think. Not sure if that is
exactly what you want but for $80 and like $20/month to Time-Warner its a
very good system. Speaker phone. Much better acoustics than even my Blue
Parrot 350 bluetooth on my cell (best I've found). Not sure if KX-TGE260 is
multi-line, but think you can sit it on top of a cell phone as well as the
POTS. Or ask Time-Warner and I'll bet they can give you two lines [for a
nice hefty fee :-) ].
I'll bet you could do something with Skype as well but haven't researched
it. In fact, I'd tend toward something like Skype or Google Voice (if it
finally works well now, haven't tried it) which could allow calls to be
routed to other places.
Just an idea.
Cheers,
Tim
