We used OBS at SELF this year.  I didn't have a lot to do with it other
than using it, but I was impressed by it.  You can easily intermix
streams on the fly ( switch from one to another and back ), record from
various devices ( sources ), and so on.

I don't know about the editing after the fact, I think that that was a
different tool.

I would get in touch with SELF, since they have been experimenting with
various tools over the years.
