There are literally thousands of options. Wordpress has been mentioned.
Drupal is another.
For something simple that does not involve multi user stuff you can always
look at the lightweight ones like RazorCMS or CMS made simple. There used
to be several websites for blogging and CMS software comparisons that you
could use to test drive and demo.
I will mention you could also just used something like Tumblr or nomerous
other blogging services. I mean unless you are in the business of running
your own server for other web sites an outsourced even free service might
be the better way to do it. IN fact isn't there free wordpress hosting.
