Did you get this working?
If not and it is a "Temper" device then these links might be of help:

I've got one of these measuring the temperature in my living room and it
seems to work reasonably well.
If it isn't a Temper device then I'd be interested in knowing what it is
as it is always useful to look at alternatives.
