[TriLUG] cpio checksum errors

Another observation, the 0x1 seems to be there most of the time, but
not always.  Here are a couple of other examples

0x3eccb6b9f, should be 0xeccb6b9f
0x22c2f58b8, should be 0x2c2f58b8
0x20fc65d03, should be 0xfc65d03

Thinking about it a bit. If the problem really was related to
versioning differences in cpio, then it would stand to reason that all
the files would exhibit checksum errors.
