Here's the map of the eclipse path

Here's the page showing cloud in August for part of the eclipse path in SC. You
can hop to anywhere in the US from this page.

It's expected to be relatively cloudy in SC. Do you want to go to SC and take
what you get, or do you want to see the eclipse?

I really want to see the eclipse. I've been waiting for this for 20yrs. For this
year's event, I'm going to St Jo. MO. There's a 5% chance of cloud cover.

I saw the one in GA in the '80s. It was annular. I was about 50' from the center
line. A line of amateur astronomers were running TV cameras through scopes,
spread about 100' across a parking lot. It was perfect blue sky.

All the best with your planning

Joe
