If you only need to use Windows for a short period of time (like for
doing taxes in the spring), you can get a legitimate time-limited VM
instance for free at http://modern.ie/.  Microsoft makes these images
available for testing web sites against their browsers.  Web developers
need to be able to grab a copy of Windows, test the web page, and make
tweaks.  The license is good for 90 days.
