Mark,
I've missed most of this conversation, so I wanted to know if you do your own DNS as well. I have their service as well, and have essentially turned off my server because I couldn't figure out how to stop it from divvying out addresses, and stepping on my home network, without completely isolating it with another firewall. It seems that I will have to do that for my network to get back to business as usual.

You must have the ATT router in the signal path, but you can disable its
wifi function and configure it to pass all traffic through to your own
router, effectively neutering the ATT router's routing functionality. In my
setup, I run a linux box that does nat and routing.
