[TriLUG] How to get to text terminal when Ctrl+Alt+F1 doesn't work?

Pi-Top must not be running virtual terminals, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virtual_console.  Not
sure what flavor of linux the pi-top uses but I'd start looking for how to start/setup virtual
terminals.
