Last year I had bought one of Icy Dock's <https://www.icydock.com/way.php>
4 bay 2 1/2 inch HD/SSD "docks" that fit into
a single Drive 5 1/4 inch bay on my Desktop computer.

I was really impressed by the quality of the unit I got as there was no
cheap plastic at alll and
it was relatively inexpensive ~$40

It allowed me to install 4 SSDs using just 1 power cable from my
Motherboard and
four SATA III cables.   They have models that support SAS drives also.

My unit also had its own fan that keeps all the drives cool.  The fan has
been totally silent and
the drives were hot swappable also.
