I've used two linux tools that work well for me:

*OBS Studio (supports most major distro's) and Windows & Mac*

OBS has more features but you may or may not use all of them but some of
them are really
nice to have such as timed lead-in's, fade-ins/fade-outs etc  and its
fairly easy to use.

I've used both to create multi-segment videos.

If the tool doesn't support concatenation of the segments ffmpeg does:
