[TriLUG] WiFi AP recommendations

So ... I have a pair of 15+ year old LinkSys WAP54G's that are (in 2021) 
probably too stupid to be h4x0r3d by the script kiddies.  At the same 
time, Microsoft has determined that they're too old to be trusted, and 
keeps dropping the WiFi connection to them, about every 15 minutes or so. 
I only have one active, but it does it with both, so it isn't the AP's.

I'm looking for recommendations for a new AP that:
1. Doesn't require POE
2. Is secure and reliable
3. Will be accepted by the Lords of Evil as modern tech

Would appreciate any helpful suggestions.
