[TriLUG] Switch from Spectrum Internet to AT&T Fiber

I have AT&T fiber in Raleigh. It started as 300/300, but they upgraded it
at some point to 500/500 with no price increase. My bill says it's the
"Internet 500 (Fiber 500)" plan.

Here's what I pay monthly:
- $45 for service ($20 off for 12 months (Expires Jan 21, 2023))
- $10 for equipment
- $0.73 in taxes

Total: $55.73

Once a year I have to call to keep the promotional rate. I remind them that
if I'm going to pay >$70/month, I'll just switch to Google Fiber, which has
twice the speed of my current service and is a few bucks cheaper than
AT&T's full price.

I've had service for a few years, and I don't think we've had an outage.

For a transition, I'd call Spectrum and confirm that you can cancel at any
time. Then get the AT&T service ordered, installed and working before
calling back to cancel with Spectrum. In case there are any surprises
installing the new service, you don't want to be stuck without any service!

As Wes mentioned, the fiber wall connector they installed in my house has
the fiber line coming out of the bottom, so there would be no issue with
furniture in front of it.
