[TriLUG] "Desktop" files ( 5th )

This one has been irritating me for some time, but I have avoided
"screaming for help" until now.


For certain applications, specifically X2Go Client in this case, when I
open my saved ".desktop" files in "Desktop," but also directly from the
/usr/share/applications directory, the windows seem to open far up and
to the left of the desktop, usually off the screen to some extent, so
that I can not reach the top menu, and sometimes up to half the window
from the top and left.

I can't get to Minimize, Restore, Maximize or Close without using the
icon in the taskbar, and can't really use the application.


Any suggestions for better controlling the placement, and keeping it on
the desktop?
