[TriLUG] Headset on Debian 11

Hi All,

This is getting very frustrating.

I recently upgraded my laptop to Debian 11, and since then Pulse Audio's
Volume Control insists that the microphone attached to my headset,
which was working perfectly before the upgrade, is not plugged in, and
so it uses the "built-in" laptop microphone.

Any suggestions for resolving this?
