Oh yes, this.  SFP-RJ45 adapters run very hot.  Uncomfortable to the 
touch, in the case of the one in my NAS box.  Probably a good clue as to 
why the high-speed switches have forced-air cooling that sounds like a 
jet engine when at full throttle.
